How do we come to BELIEVE in Quranic Personalities?

The Quran is replete with various personalities whose stories are told in a variety of ways. Here is why I believe that to be the case:

These personalities represent states of human being. ibrahim, for example, represents the path to the perfect deen state. musa represents how islam works on a socio-political level. isa more on a spiritual level. other per…

sonalities like hud and salih are about how communities can degenerate. For me, unless we experience these for ourselves, they become mere ‘clarifications’ (bayyinat in Quranic language). For them to become signs (which then we can believe thus attain a measure of faith), they need to be brought to life. To me , this is why the stories ARE there, not for theoretical knowledge only.
