Jumma is the salat of the Hajj?

Our very own Imraan Goondiwala brought up this question in Quranology Discussions:

I have heard that there is opinion out there that the salat of al jumuah may refer to salat at the time of hajj. Does anybody know of any material on this opinion?

Well i’ve never read any opinion of this myself. I havent even seen any aya which links salat and hajj. Is the hajj the gathering or the overcoming of the challenge (hajj) which then gives u the capacity to call ‘with the hajj’ (bil hajj, see 22/27)?
